Factory Energy Audit
Most factories are not built with energy efficiency in mind. If your manufacturing facility was built using inexpensive materials with little insulation, what may have been cost-effective in the short term could have expensive long-term repercussions. Outdated lighting, too, may be ineffective with respect to function and energy efficiency. Peak loads may be negatively impacting your bottom line.
A factory energy audit by Envinity allows you to discover ways to save money by improving the energy efficiency of your operations. The procedure takes place as follows:
- Data Collection. Utility bills are examined and analyzed for irregularities prior to the on-site energy audit.
- Onsite inspection. Our energy audit team will conduct a thorough inspection of your facility’s mechanical system, lighting, building envelope, water efficiency, load control management, and equipment energy usage, among other operations. Diagnostic testing includes an infrared scan, combustion efficiency tests, lighting level tests, and electrical diagnostics.
- Interview. Our team will talk with managers and staff to uncover behavioral or usage patterns that may be contributing to energy efficiencies, such as peak loads or operation schedules.
- Recommendations. As part of the energy audit, you will receive a comprehensive energy management plan offering recommendations for retrofitting, replacement, and energy management opportunities. The plan contains a financial payback analysis, including estimated annual savings, estimated cost to implement, simple payback, and a savings-to-investment ratio (SIR) for each recommendation.
- Plan for the future. As you prioritize retrofits and replacements in a cost-effective manner, Envinity works with you to help you implement the recommended energy improvements. After efficiency has been optimized throughout your plant, Envinity works with you to help you further increase your energy savings via the implementation of solar energy and solar hot water.
Many efficiency measures pay for themselves within the first five years. Nonetheless, it can still be a challenge to find funding to implement efficiency measures. Envinity works with organizations to help identify financing measures and low interest loan identification. Contact us today to find out how your factory can save money and improve energy efficiency with a comprehensive energy audit.
