Job Title: Solar Sales Specialist

Job Summary: Envinity is currently looking to add a part time (10-20 hours per week) technical solar sales specialist within our Residential Services team. The position does not offer commissions from sales. Interested candidates should submit a resume indicating relevant sales experience as well as a cover letter expanding on previous experience, specific interests within Envinity, and your most unique skill(s).

Job responsibilities include:

  • Generating leads
  • Managing inquiries
  • Conducting solar site surveys, including survey work on roofs
  • Preparing proposals
  • Developing design specifications for system installation
  • Submitting building code and utility interconnection applications
  • Filing state and/or federal paperwork required for project compliance

The part-time position may be converted to full time by the following job duties:

  • Solar system installation
  • Insulation and air sealing installation
  • HVAC system installation
  • Other duties as needed

Job Title: Architectural/Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary:  Envinity’s Commercial Energy Services group is seeking an architectural mechanical engineer with a minimum of 3 years MEP experience to contribute to the division’s growth and service offerings.

Firm Background: Envinity is an employee owned energy conservation, efficiency, and generation company that is rooted in the building science approach to green design, construction, and energy management.  Envinity’s division of Commercial Energy Services focuses on not just analyzing energy usage in commercial buildings, but improving those buildings as well.   Since 2005 Envinity has designed, installed, and construction managed a wide range of energy savings projects from mechanical systems to building envelope upgrades and alternative energy systems.

Position Description: To support and grow these efforts, Envinity is seeking an experienced and well qualified architectural engineer with a mechanical design focus.  Responsibilities include leading mechanical design projects, construction document development, construction administration, and construction management.  The candidate will also take a lead mechanical role in energy auditing and strategic facility planning.

This position requires extensive knowledge of building science and system interactions, the ability to assess and reverse engineer legacy systems, strong technical writing and verbal communication skills, strong analytical skills and experience in preparing detailed construction documents. 

Desired Skills

  • Strong experience in drafting (AutoCAD preferred)
  • Strong experience with preparation of construction documents
  • Experience with construction administration a/o construction management
  • Experience with system replacement and facility renovation
  • Experience conducting system condition or HVAC commissioning assessments
  • Working knowledge of building load calculation and energy modeling software
  • Working knowledge  of energy auditing processes and methods

Key Requirements

  • Degree in architectural engineering with mechanical option and at least 3 years MEP field experience
  • Degree in mechanical engineering with at least 5 years architectural  MEP field experience

Job Title: Lead Carpenter/Crew Leader

Job Summary: Envinity is an employee owned energy conservation, efficiency, and generation company that is rooted in the building science approach to green design, construction, and energy management.  Envinity’s Residential Design/Build group is seeking a lead carpenter/crew leader to contribute to the division’s growth and service offerings.

Envinity's Residential Design/Build group focuses on constructing high performance, energy efficient homes.  Other important aspects of our work include construction of home additions, custom woodworking, and home improvements utilizing local resources and green building methods.  As a design-build company, we are not only able to consult on all aspects of building construction and renovation; we are also able to implement and manage any energy conservation measures that are warranted.  Envinity has designed, installed, and managed a wide range of energy savings projects from ENERGY STAR rated new home constructions to mechanical systems to building envelope upgrades and alternative energy systems since 2005.

To support and grow these efforts, Envinity is seeking an experienced or well-qualified Lead Carpenter/Crew Leader.  This person will be responsible for planning daily and weekly work schedules for his/her crew, effectively communicating and delegating tasks, executing projects on budget, and providing quality control to ensure client satisfaction.  Qualified candidates will be able to shoulder management responsibilities, improve the quality of our product, and increase field efficiencies.

This position requires knowledge of building science and system interactions, strong verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and experience in project estimating.    This position is primarily field-based, and encompasses all phases of carpentry and homebuilding on residential projects.
