Project Description

The Blackledge Home was designed to perform and create a visual impact like no other home in the State College area.  This high-performance home was designed and constructed by Envinity.  Despite the large floor area, the Blackledge Home is one of the most energy-efficient structures built by Envinity to date.  The home features:

  • Insulated concrete slab floors for passive solar heat storage and release, with in-floor radiant heat on all levels of the home
  • High-performance air-sealed wall system, with insulated sheathing and dense-packed cellulose cavity insulation
  • Durable fiber-cement and metal exterior
  • High-efficiency ductless heat pumps for heating and cooling
  • Spacious walk-out basement houses a billiard room, bar, and craft room
  • Custom open-tread staircase with powder-coated steel railing
  • LED interior and exterior lighting
